How Long Have You Been In Business?

4everMoments is a creation of Patterson Studios that was spun
off in 2004. Patterson Studios was started in the "French Quarter" of New Orleans back in 1929 by our founder's father, J.G. "Pat"Patterson. The studio, located on Royal St., focused primarily on business, family and political photography across the southeast United States. Our founder's interests drew him into child photography, specifically Preschool Child Photography. He moved to Florida in 1990 and has been working almost exclusively in the Preschool Industry ever since.

How do I get out of the Slide show and get back to my desktop?

Pressing the <Esc> key will bring you back to your Windows desktop. Also, pressing the <F1> key will bring up a help menu, pressing the <M> key will bring up an options menu, pressing the <Tab> key will bring up an index menu where you can see all the file names. These options and the file name of the image that is showing can be found at the top of the screen as the slide show progresses.

How do I copy the images to my computer?

4everMoments' can not be reasonably expected to educate everyone on the use of their computers. There are many good tutorials, books, classes and web sites that are devoted to helping you learn more about how to do things with your computer. We have included links to some of our favorite sites under the button labeled "Links".

Come on, I just want to get the images on my computer !

Put your CD in the computers CD/DVD drive. After the slide show starts, press the <Esc> key to get back to your desktop. At the bottom left of your screen, there is the "Start" button. Use the Right button of your mouse to click on the "Start" button, and then use the Left button on your mouse to click on "Explore"

Windows Explorer is the software program that best lets you manage your computer's files. It represents your computer as one big filing cabinet. As you view Windows Explorer, you see the screen broken into two halves. One side contains the folders, or directory tree. The other side shows the files and folders inside the folder selected.

On the left side of the Explorer window you should find a small CD icon beside your child’s name (If you have put the CD in the drive). Use the Left button of your mouse to click on the child's name and a listing of all the files on the CD will be shown in the right half of the screen.

Now use the Left button of your mouse to click the Edit menu (Look for Edit near the top left of the Explorer window.) a menu will drop down. Use the Left button of your mouse to click on the "Select All" option. This will highlight all the files on the CD that are in the right pane of the Explorer window.
All that is left is to drag the files to wherever you would like them to be on your computer. We recommend the "My Pictures" folder. To do this simply use the Right button of your mouse to click anywhere in the highlighted area of the files in the right pane of the Explorer window. Hold down this click and drag the files to wherever you would like them to be copied to.  As you point your cursor (still holding down the mouse button) at a folder, that folder will highlight too! When you have your cursor over the folder where you want the files and that folder is highlighted, release the mouse button and your files will be copied to the indicated folder.

How do I print out my photos at home?

4everMoments' can not be reasonably expected to educate everyone on the use of their computers and or printers. There are many good tutorials, books, classes and web sites that are devoted to helping you learn more about how to do things with your computer. We have included links to some of our favorite sites under the button labeled "Links". Most printers capable of printing photographs will come with their own software and instructions on how to print photographs. If you have such a printer and you must to be able to print photographs, we suggest looking over the included documentation that came with the equipment.

Do I "really" own the copyright to the images? Can I sell them?

Yes, you can legally print, share, copy or sell the images that are on your CD. Pursuant to Public Law 105-298 enacted on October 27th, 1998the images belong to whoever holds the CD. The copyrights to our images that are on each CD are transferred directly, entirely, completely and for the duration of the copyright term. This protection continues for 95 years from the date on the CD, at which time the ownership will fall into the Public Domain. If you wish to sell those rights and need a more formal statement of ownership of the copyright to your images to secure such a sale we have included a copyright release on this website and if need be would be happy to execute any necessary paperwork for you to facilitate the sale.

My photo lab does not want to accept the copyright release on the front of the CD. What should I do?

If the lab technician can not understand the copyright plainly printed on the front of the CD you can:
Print a copy of the "Copyright Release Letter" that is on every CD produced after July 1st, 2005.

Print a copy of the "Copyright Release Letter" that can be found on this Web site under the "Copyright" button.

Have the lab technician call us at (407) 299-1096 and we will be happy to straighten things out for them.
